How to make a voxel adventure series
Type the adventure in one line: who your heroes are, what comes at night and what they have to build before it does. Character App builds the World, a soft landscape made of small cubes, and a Cast of original Characters who keep the same shape and colours in every Scene. Direct each beat as a Clip, end on the eyes in the dark, and the next Episode starts at dawn in the same meadow. The free Studio builds the World and draws Images; a plan unlocks Clips.

The blocky-world story, built from your own cubes
Survival-and-building stories in blocky worlds are one of the oldest genres on video: a crew, a base, a night that arrives too fast. Many people know it from the story series fans film in Minecraft. Not an official Minecraft product. Not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Character App gives you the genre, not the game. You cannot bring in worlds, skins, mobs or textures from anywhere; you describe an original voxel World and Cast, and the Studio draws them from small smooth cubes. Then it keeps them consistent, so your hero’s leaf sprout and tool belt are the same on night one and night forty.
The adventure loop
Most blocky adventures repeat one satisfying loop. Write a line for each beat and the Director has an Episode.
The dusk warning
A lantern goes up on the wall. Someone tugs an arm and points: “Uh, the sun’s going down.” Now there is a clock.
The run
Across the meadow, left to right, with the threat rolling over the hill behind. Keep it wide so the world does the talking.
The build
Cubes slam into place, one friend passing blocks to the other. “One more block!” The fun is the race.
The peek
Inside the hut, two faces at a square window as glowing eyes glide past. Everyone exhales. Cut.
Cast your crew and your monster
Give each hero one shape, one colour and one job. A round teal critter with a leaf sprout and a cube hammer who builds. A small orange mole in goggles who digs and panics. Your threat should be original too: a rolling fog of indigo cubes with small amber eyes is scarier than anything borrowed. Describe the look in plain words (smooth cubes, pastel palette, no pixel-texture blocks, no health bars or menus) and it stays yours.
One World, many nights
The meadow, the base and the cave you have not explored yet are your World, built once and kept. Each Episode is a new night or a new expedition with the same crew. Ask the Director for the next threat, let the Story split it into Scenes, draw the Images, then film the Clips worth keeping, on the web or in the iPhone app.

Pitch the adventure
One line: the heroes, the threat, the deadline. Character App reads it as a series and sketches the voxel World they have to survive.
- 2
Cast the crew
Original voxel Characters with a shape, a colour and a job, plus a monster of your own. Designs lock, so the goggles are always on the mole.
- 3
Film the nights
Split each Episode into Scenes, draw the Images, film the Clips you like with a plan, and end on the eyes in the dark. Dawn is the next Episode.
Questions, answered
Still curious? The guides go deeper.
Is this an official Minecraft product?
No. Character App is an independent Studio for making original series in a voxel look. Not an official Minecraft product. Not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
Can I import my world, skins or builds?
No. Nothing is imported from any game. You describe an original voxel World and Characters, and the Studio draws them.
Do I need building or modding skills?
No. You describe what you want in words and direct Scene by Scene; there is nothing to place block by block.
What stories fit a blocky world?
Survival nights, expeditions, base-building races, mysteries underground and crews with a traitor. Anything where the world itself is a character.
Will the same crew appear in every Episode?
Yes. Each Character has a locked design, and the World stays the same, so the base you built in Episode 1 is still there in Episode 10.
What does it cost?
Continue with the free Studio: currently one World build, one Character a day and 4 Lite Images a day. Clips need a plan, from $19.99 a month for 800 Credits; a 5-second Clip from an Image on H3 Max Turbo is 15 Credits, shown on the button before you press.

Guides for this genre
- Build a fantasy worldA fantasy world for a series needs less than a novel’s — one place the cast returns to, one rule the magic keeps, and one secret the season is about.
- Plan a season arcA season arc is one promise the whole season keeps: a question episode one asks and the finale answers.
- Make a 3D animated showA stylized 3D show is the feature-film look — soft volumes, cinematic light, faces with real warmth — without the rigging, the render farm, or the software.
Your voxel block adventure starts with one line.
