What is Character App?
Character App is an AI video app made for creating, not chatting. You make your own Character from a photo, a few words or both, in any style, then cast it in Clips, Stories, vertical dramas, sitcoms and anime series that keep the same Cast every Episode. Is Character App a chatbot?
No. There is no chat window with your Characters. You make them and direct them: they star in your Clips, Stories and Episodes. The one conversation in the app is with the AI Director, about the Story you are making. More in An AI character app for creating, not chatting.

Is Character App free?
You can start free with no card. The free Studio currently includes one World build, one Character a day and 4 Lite Images a day. New web accounts can get their first Clip free, once, while the offer is open. More Clips, Film and Star in a clip need a plan. Details in Plans and the free tier.
How much does Character App cost?
Plans are monthly and you can cancel anytime. Starter is $19.99 for 800 Credits, about 2 min 40 s of H3 Turbo Clips. Creator is $39.99 for 1,600 Credits, about 5 min 20 s. Pro is $99.99 for 4,000 Credits, about 13 min 20 s. Unused plan Credits don't roll over. See Pricing.
What does one Clip cost?
The default Clip model, H3 Turbo, is 5 Credits per second, so a 5-second Clip is 25 Credits and a 30-second Star in a clip take is 150 Credits. Other models, like H3 Max, Seedance 2 and Kling, run at their own rates. The exact price is on every button before you press, and nothing is charged by surprise.
Questions about Characters and likeness
Can I put myself in a video?
Yes. Add your own photo and your Character will look like you, in any style from live action to anime. You can use someone else's face only with their permission, and identifiable public figures are not allowed. Character App is for creators 17 and older. More in Use your own photo and likeness.
Will my Character look the same in every Clip?
That is what a Character is for. The picture you keep becomes the saved reference that every later Image, Clip and Episode starts from, so the face, build and outfit carry over. Results still vary by take, so you keep the takes that match. More in Keep an AI character the same in every video.
What is Star in a clip?
Star in a clip puts your Character into a clip you already have. Upload a clip up to 30 seconds, vertical, square or wide, tap the person your Character replaces, and it takes the lead with the same moves and camera. What does the AI Director do?
Say one sentence and the AI Director writes the Story as Scenes, casts your Characters in each one and, with Auto-film on, films it up to a Credit cap you set. In Episode mode it writes and films whole Episodes of a show with the same Cast. You can rewrite, reorder or recast before anything is filmed. More in How the Director works.
Who owns what I make?
You do. Under the Terms you own your Outputs and can use them for personal or commercial purposes, subject to the Terms and each model provider's terms. Character App does not use your Outputs to train AI models. Commercial use is available on every plan, including the free Studio. Read the Terms.

Is Character App on iPhone and Android?
There is a native iPhone app on the App Store, and the web app at character.app runs in any modern browser, including on Android phones. One account works on both, with the same Characters, Worlds and Library. More in Web app vs iPhone app.
