Why AI Clips are short
Video models draw every frame, and the longer a Clip runs the more a face, an outfit or a room can drift. Model makers cap a single Clip at a length where the picture still holds; most land between 5 and 15 seconds.
Short is also how people watch: a vertical drama Episode is 60 to 90 seconds made of many short shots.
Make it longer by joining Clips
A Story in Character App is a list of Scenes; each Scene films as its own Clip and the Clips play in order. An Episode does the same for a whole Episode of a show, with the same Characters. The AI Director writes the Scenes, and Auto-film films them up to a Credit cap you set.
Stories and Episodes film on H3 Turbo, H3 Max, Gemini Flash and H3; the other models make single Clips.
Star in a clip follows your footage
Star in a clip puts your Character into a clip you filmed, from 5 to 30 seconds. The take is as long as your clip and is priced at its full length.
A Slideshow Story has no clip limit
A Slideshow Story is pictures with narration, so its length is set by the slides: 40 Credits covers up to 5 slides, and each slide after that is 8 Credits. See Slideshow Stories.
Common mistakes
Filming one long Clip and hoping the face holds. Several short Scenes hold better.
Picking a long length for a test. Test at 5 seconds, then film the keeper longer.
Forgetting that a Star in a clip take is priced at the full length of your clip.
Questions
What is the longest AI video I can make in one Clip?
In Character App, 15 seconds on H3 Turbo, HG H3 Max, H3 Max, Wan 3.0, Wan 3.0 Prime, H3; 10 seconds on Seedance 2.5 and 10 on Gemini Flash. Star in a clip takes up to 30 seconds of your own footage.
How do I make a one-minute AI video?
Write it as Scenes. A Story or an Episode films each Scene as its own Clip and plays them in order, so a minute is about six to twelve short Clips.
Is Seedance 2.5 up to 30 seconds?
The model maker lists longer Clips elsewhere, but in Character App Seedance 2.5 films 4 to 10 seconds per Clip today.
Does a longer Clip cost more?
Yes. Clips are priced per second, so 10 seconds costs twice 5 seconds on the same model. The button shows the exact price first.
