The quickest way to add narration and music to an AI video is to make it with both from the start. In Character App every Slideshow Story comes with a narrator, house library music and on-screen words in one press (40 Credits for up to 5 slides with a plan). The narrator is your World’s narrator voice or your lead Character’s voice, and the sound panel swaps the music for free.

  1. Start with a Slideshow Story

Say the Story in one sentence or start from your photos. The Slideshow Story is written as slides, and each slide gets one line of narration and the words that show on screen. Narration and music are part of the press, not a second step.

See the format, with a working example, at Slideshow Stories.

  2. Choose who narrates

The narrator is the World’s narrator voice if the World has one, else the lead Character’s voice, else the default narrator. Set a voice on the World once and every Slideshow Story in it sounds like the same show.

The default narrators include Achird, Algieba, Puck and Sulafat; you can hear each one on the Slideshow page.

  3. Set the music

Music comes from the house library by default. The sound panel swaps to another ready-made track or effect, sets the music level and how far the music dips under the voice, and has Undo. Those changes are free.

Make my own music is 15 Credits per started minute; a made sound effect is 12 Credits a cue. Both show the price on the button.

  4. Export with the mix you want

With a plan, Make video exports an MP4 in 9:16 or 16:9, with or without words, as voice and music, voice only or silent. Pick voice only if you will add a trending sound on the platform; pick silent if you will record your own voice-over.

  5. Filmed Clips carry their own sound

H3 models film dialogue audio with the Clip, so a filmed Episode has its Characters’ voices built in. Make it a Film turns a Slideshow Story into a filmed copy when you want motion as well as sound.

Common mistakes

  1. Writing narration that describes the picture. Narrate what the picture cannot show: time, thought, stakes.

  2. Music as loud as the voice. Leave the dip on so the words stay clear.

  3. Exporting without words for TikTok or Reels, where many people watch muted.

Questions

Free: picture-only Slideshows. Real video with a plan. A narrated Slideshow Story with music is 40 Credits with a plan.

Export the Slideshow Story silent or voice-only and record your own voice-over in your editor. Uploading your own audio into the app is planned, not live yet.

Where does the music come from?

From the house music library in Character App, picked by genre. You can swap tracks for free or make your own track for 15 Credits per started minute.

Do filmed Clips have sound?

Yes. H3 models film dialogue audio with the Clip, so Characters speak in the take.
