How to make a chibi anime drama
Type the drama in one line: who your OC is, who walks through the door and what they want. Why chibi drama works, and where it usually breaks
Gacha-style storytimes run on contrast: tiny, adorable characters delivering lines out of a prime-time soap. “Marry me, or I buy this café.” The chibi look lets you go huge with feeling without anything feeling heavy. The trouble starts in Part 3, when your OC’s hairpin moves, her eyes change colour, and the ex looks like a different ex. In Character App each OC is a Character with a locked design, so the lilac side braid and the gold star hairpin are there in every Scene of every Episode.
The chibi drama toolkit
A handful of moves carries most of the genre. Plan them into your Scenes and the drama reads instantly on a phone.
The dramatic zoom
Someone walks in, something drops, the camera slams onto a face. A milk jug hitting the floor is a whole Episode opener.
The ultimatum
One line, one prop. A ring box slapped on the counter. A letter held just out of reach. Cut before the answer.
The comeback
The box slides back across the counter. “The café’s not for sale. Neither am I.” This is the line people quote.
The sparkle tear
A slow push-in on a face turned to a rainy window. It is the cheapest Scene to plan and the one that gets rewatched.
Design OCs that are yours
Describe your OC the way you would on a reference sheet: hair colour and style, eye colour, one signature accessory, one outfit, one attitude. Lilac hair with a side braid, a gold star hairpin, a mint apron. Spiky silver hair, crimson eyes, a long black coat and a red tie. The Studio draws them chibi-proportioned. Every design is original: no characters, outfits or menus from any game or dress-up app. Want to be in it? Add your own photo and your chibi Character resembles you. Friends join only if they say yes. For romance and betrayal plots, keep the Cast adult: a café owner, not a middle schooler.
From one skit to a series
The café, the school gate and the rainy rooftop are your World, built once and kept. The ex from Part 1 returns in Part 9 with a new plan and the same coat. Ask the Director for the next twist, let the Story split it into Scenes, draw the Images, then film the Clips worth keeping. Web and iPhone both work.

What is a chibi drama?
A short drama told with chibi characters: big heads, small bodies, huge eyes. The cute style makes the soap-opera lines land harder and funnier.
Is this a gacha game or a dress-up app?
No. There are no pulls, loot or outfit menus. Character App is a Studio for filming original series, and it is not affiliated with any gacha game or dress-up app.
Can I use my existing OC?
If you created the OC, yes: describe their hair, eyes, accessory and outfit, and the Studio draws them as a Character. Characters from someone else’s game or show belong to their creators.
Will my OCs look the same in every Part?
Yes. Each OC is a Character with a locked design reused across Scenes and Episodes, so the audience always recognises them.
Can my OCs speak?
You write the lines into each Scene. Narration can be added to a Story, with its price shown before anything is charged.
