D&D campaign series · made in Character App

Your party, your campaign, as an animated series

The bard who rolled a 1 at the worst moment. The cursed turnips. The tavern ghost you still owe a favour. Make each party member once as a Character, put your map's places in one World, and the AI Director turns each session into an Episode with the same faces every week.

Make my first party member

Build the party free (1 Character a day) and get each session as a picture-only Slideshow. Filmed Episodes come with a plan: 5 Clips on H3 Turbo (0:25) are 125 Credits, plus any Scene pictures the Story draws.

Free: make your Character and its Story as picture-only Slideshows. Real video comes with a plan.

How to turn your D&D campaign into an animated series

Make each party member as a Character from a few words, or from a player's own photo with their OK. Build one World for the campaign's places. Then describe a session in a few lines and the AI Director writes it as Scenes with your party. Free as a picture-only Slideshow; filmed Episodes need a plan.

Why a series, not a single clip

A campaign is already a series: recurring heroes, a map, running jokes and a villain who keeps escaping. What breaks most AI attempts is the second session, when the rogue suddenly has a different face. Here each party member is a saved Character, so the half-elf with the scar is the same half-elf in Episode 1 and Episode 20.

What goes where

Three pieces, set up once.

  • The party

One Character per player, up to five in a Story. Describe them in a few words (class, look, one prop), or let a player cast themselves from their own photo, with their OK.

  • The World

The places you keep going back to: the tavern, the city gate, the swamp nobody likes. Every Scene is drawn in the World's Art style.

  • The session

A few lines on what happened. The AI Director writes the Scenes, and you can push back in plain words until it is right.

Give your DM an opening sequence

A dramatic montage of the party with music from our library makes a great "previously on" or a season opener. Honest limits: it is our library music, not your own song, and the cuts are not synced to the beat.

Weekly recaps

For a short "previously on…" before each session, see the D&D session recap video guide. For portraits of single heroes, see D&D and TTRPG characters.

What is free and what needs a plan

Free: one Character a day and one written Story a day, drawn as a picture-only Slideshow. With a plan: a narrated Slideshow with music is 40 Credits (web), a 5-second Clip on H3 Turbo is 25 Credits, a 5-Clip Episode (0:25) 125 plus any Scene pictures, and you can export the MP4.

How it works

Three steps, in the Studio

  1. 1

    Make the party

Describe each hero in a few words, or a player's own photo with their OK. One Character a day is free.

  2. 2

    Write the session

Put the party in the campaign's World and describe what happened. The AI Director writes the Scenes.

  3. 3

    Watch or film it

Free as a picture-only Slideshow. With a plan, film the Scenes as Clips (25 Credits each) or narrate the Slideshow (40 Credits).

Questions, answered

Still curious? The guides go deeper.

Can I turn my D&D campaign into an animated series?

Yes. Make the party as Characters, put the campaign's places in one World, and the AI Director writes each session as an Episode with the same faces. It is free as a picture-only Slideshow; filmed Episodes need a plan.

Can my players star as themselves?

Yes, if each player adds their own photo and says yes. Their photo becomes a Character, redrawn in the World's Art style. Everyone in it is an adult.

How many party members fit in one Story?

Up to five Characters in a Story, and one to three in frame in any one Scene, which suits most tables.

Can I make an anime opening for our campaign?

You can make a dramatic montage Slideshow with music from our library. You cannot upload your own song yet, and the cuts are not beat-synced.

Can I use official monsters, settings or characters?

No. Keep your homebrew original: your own villains, places and creatures. Character App is not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast, and D&D is named here only to describe the game you play.

What does an Episode cost?

A 5-Clip Episode on H3 Turbo (five 5-second Clips, 0:25) is 125 Credits plus any Scene pictures the Story draws; a narrated Slideshow is 40. The Creator plan is $39.99 a month for 1,600 Credits, about 64 HD H3 videos or 40 Slideshow Stories.

It starts with your Character.
