Three habits that keep a character recognizable

    Make the Character from a photo, words or both. Redraw until the face and the outfit are right, then keep it.

  2. Stop re-describing the face

    Write what the Character does and where the camera is. The saved reference carries the appearance, and extra face words can pull against it.

  3. Review every take

    Compare each take with the reference. Keep the ones that match, and make a new take when the hair, the outfit or the face drifts.

A video model has no memory of your last Clip.

Every Clip is a fresh request. Without a picture to follow, the model fills the gaps differently each time: a new jawline, a new jacket. A saved reference gives it the same starting point every time.

When you film a Scene, the Character reference goes with it. The look of the shot follows the Character; the action and the camera follow your words.

It works the same with Seedance 2 or any other Clip model in the app. Some models follow references more closely than others, so compare a take or two before you film a whole Story.

Each Character keeps its own reference. Give them clearly different silhouettes and colors, and a two-person Scene stays easy to read.

Can Seedance 2 keep the same face in every Clip?
With a saved Character reference it usually stays close. It is not guaranteed, so review each take and make a new one when the face drifts.
Should I describe the face in my prompt?
Keep it short. The reference already carries the appearance. Spend the words on the action, the place and the camera.
Does this only work with Seedance 2?
No. The same Character reference goes with every Clip model in the app, including the default. Seedance 2 is one explicit pick among them.
Can I change the outfit on purpose?
Yes. Ask for the change in the Scene direction. On a Star in a clip take, Customize prompt changes the outfit, the place or the mood in plain words and makes a new take.
How many Scenes can stay consistent?
There is no fixed cap. A Story has 3 to 10 Scenes, and a World carries the Cast into the next Story. Check each take as you go.
